Living History at Queensferry Renaissance Festival

Step back in time with us at the Queensferry Renaissance Festival, located in the heart of Vinita, Oklahoma. Our mission is to bring 16th century Scottish history to life through immersive experiences that are both educational and entertaining. Whether you're a history enthusiast or just looking for a fun family outing, our festival offers something for everyone!  Throughout our quaint shire you will find living history aspects that will entertain as well as educate on the History, Customes, and Culture of times past.

The Viking Encampment

Witness the thrill of the Vikings at our authentic encampment. Our dedicated re-enactors demonstrate the daily life of Viking warriors and settlers. From forging weapons to cooking traditional meals, every activity is designed to give you a genuine feel of their lifestyle. Engage with our experts, ask questions, and even try your hand at some of the ancient crafts.

Traditional Crafts and Skills

Marvel at the skills of our talented craftsmen. Watch as our stone carver demonstrates his age old craft.  Or watch as spinners turn wool into delicate threads. Our artisans are passionate about their crafts and eager to share their knowledge. This is a perfect opportunity for you and your family to learn about the traditional skills that were essential to life in 16th century Scotland.

Meet the King and Queen

Our well-educated cast brings the royal court to life, led by the benevolent King James V and His Queen Marie de Guise. They will regale you with tales of courtly intrigue, royal decrees, and the daily challenges of ruling a kingdom. Feel free to interact with them and their retinue, and get a glimpse into the lives of nobility during the Renaissance period.

Alas the adventure doesn't stop there Mingle the lanes with our Townsfolk as they share about thier daily lives and we are sure they also might share the gossip about the shire, if you are so inclined to lend them your ear.

Buccaneers of the Coast

It is well rumored that at the edge of our Shire there is a band of Pirates known as the Buccaneers of the coast.  It is not known for sure if they are here paying their respect to the Crown as privateers or if they have other "Business" to tend to at Queensferry.  None the less drop by their encampment where we are sure you will hear stories of their adventures of the High Seas...and perhaps how they keep our coast save from the English!

Immersive Experiences for All Ages

Our festival is designed to be a fully immersive experience for all ages. From historical tours and engaging performances to our bustling Artisan Market, there's something for everyone. Don't miss our stage shows featuring music, laughter, birds of prey, and belly dancers. Indulge in the delicious offerings from our food court, and explore handcrafted goods from our talented vendors.
